I’m always on the lookout for neat new gadgets, and this one is useful for both my dog and my well, teddy bear guaging by their website! The StickNFind is a quarter-sized tracker available in a whole bunch of colors that attaches to whatever you want to track. It comes in a two pack for just under $50, and can be used to track your items up to about 100 feet. The battery, a standard watch battery, lasts for about a year. Here is a video about the product:

The app that syncs with this device will alert you when the object goes outside of range – useful for tending to your dog when nearby (say, on the training field or on the beach), but of course not necessarily useful if he takes off when you don’t have your phone or aren’t around. But as an inexpensive gadget this can certainly be handy for sending off an alarm when your dog jumps the fence or decides to bolt when your back is turned.
