I am beyond sad to hear of the death of Dr. Lorie Huston, who succumbed to liver failure today September 30th 2014. I want to help get the word out that tonight there is a #BlogPawsChat to remember Dr. Lorie Huston. Dr. Huston was the president of the Cat Writers Association, blogger at the Pet Health Care Gazette, and ran an amazing veterinarian clinic in Rhode Island. She will be missed by all of our community, family, and friends. I had the pleasure of meeting her at two events earlier this year, and know first hand what a kind, warm, and generous woman she was.

Please join BlogPawsChat this evening 8 to 10 pm EDT on Twitter using the #BlogPawsChat hashtag to remember this amazing woman, blogger, and veterinarian. For more information on joining, please see this page.

Update: Dr. Huston has 6 cats who need forever homes. If you or someone you know can help, please send a message to jen AT dogthusiast DOT com and I can forward you the necessary contact info. Thank you.
