I recently read about a pack of 16 dogs who really need a helping hand after a tragic accident impacted their lives, over at Fidose of Reality. One of the guardians of these dogs was killed in an accident, and their guardian’s spouse is not physically capable of continuing care for them. They faced outdoor living conditions as well, in cramped hoarding-like quarters.
The good news is these dogs were helped by OBG Cocker Rescue, who took these Cocker Spaniels, Bichons, Toy Poodles, and mixed breed dogs out of their dire situation, intervening on their behalf and taking them to Crosspointe Animal Hospital for above-and-beyond treatment along with their regular expert care. Even though these dogs are in a much better situation, the rescue needs some help.
The medical care for the Sweet 16 will probably exceed $16,000, and the rescue also needs help with foster placement. A Your Caring Fund has been established for these dogs to help raise funds, and you can chip in right here: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/show-your-support-for-obg-s-sweet-16/132192
If you happen to be in the area (Virginia), OBG Cocker Rescue urgently needs foster homes that can help care for these great dogs on their way to a loving forever home. Some of the dogs have special needs with socialization, such as increased comfort around strangers and other anxiety issues, as well as general housetraining. But helping a dog grow and flourish is one of the most rewarding jobs there is! If you can help, contact the rescue directly at fosters AT cockerspanielrescue DOT com

And a little something extra for your donation!
If you donate any amount, from a dollar to five (whatever works for you!) to the “Sweet 16” Chip In you will be entered into a drawing for a ticket to the Wigglebutts Go Hollywoof gala event! OBG Rescue is the beneficiary of this fun event, which looks like a ton of fun while supporting a great cause.
