The outside layer of fabric on the Kumfy Koatz warming and cooling harnesses has recently been changed to a mesh fabric, available in numerous colors. Other than the fabric change, the product remains the same. The Kumfy Pax pouch slides easily into its pocket in the chest of the harness to keep your dog’s inner core organs warm or cool as needed. Your dog can now spend more time outdoors in Winter cold or Summer heat. To learn more, follow the Kumfy Tailz Facebook page, follow us on Twitter, or visit their website to see the new fabrics. Our giveaway (below) will offer a neoprene version of the Kumfy Koatz to one lucky winner. If you prefer a sure thing to an entry, simply visit the website to select and order your preference of color in the mesh fabric.”
Although it initially appeared to me like it might be awkward for a dog to wear, Mort had no problems after I fitted the harness and put it on. Here is Mort, acting as dog model.
I could throw the ball, he lay down on the bed, curled up, stretched – you name it, the additional bulk of a cooling/heating pack did not slow him down. And trust me, I needed that ball to keep him still for all of those photos!
This page on their site contains a bit more information about how the harness works, and includes sizing information. Mort is a lanky 26lb dog, and he comfortably fit a Medium (there was room to reduce or increase – so he’s about a medium-Medium!)
We are giving one dog harness away!
If you have an US or Canadian mailing address, you can enter this giveaway for a free Komfy Koatz harness!
Disclosure: Mort received the pictured vest for free for this review, which will be donated to the BARRK flyball team organization (initial stages of 501c3 registration) to share amongst the dogs.
