Pit Bulls in Peanut Butter

Not literally!  (Although I reckon a few pit bull dreams would include being smothered in peanut butter and getting to give themselves a manual bath!)

If you want to get something tangible while helping animal rescue organizations, or maybe you need a Father’s Day gift, check out Rescue Chocolate. 100% of their profits are given to these groups listed on their site. Reportedly one of the best flavors they offer is Peanut Butter Pit Bull – essentially crispy peanut butter dipped in chocolate (below). Another bonus: these chocolates are completely vegan and kosher in addition to their deliciousness.

Rescue Chocolate has many other flavors – such as dark chocolate hearts with raspberry ganache filling, spicy chocolate (Pick Me Pepper), and minty chocolate (Fosteriffic Peppermint). Nathan Winograd provides an excellent review on his blog, detailing each flavor offered by Rescue Chocolate. After reading it, I’m inspired to try ordering every flavor!  After all… I can just walk our dog a bit extra to compensate for all that chocolate, right?  Benefits for the organizations and our dog! Good all around!

Rescue Chocolate is available from several different online retailers, and also some brick-and-mortar stores in New York state, San Diego, Gainesville VA, Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland and Seattle. Unfortunately not the Bay Area… yet.
