I like to stick with healthy treats for the dog and cat of the household, so I tried the single-ingredient freeze dried treats from the local petstore. Can’t go wrong with “Chicken breast” on the ingredients list. Mikey the dog pretty much likes any kind of treat, but our cat Kid is more picky… being a cat. I was happy to find that she adored the freeze dried chicken (the kind we purchased is made by PureBites, available many places and online – http://www.purebites.com/. Other companies also make the same thing), and seems to love it more and more every day — far surpassing the previous favorite, feline Greenies. She has started purring while she eats the freeze dried chicken treats, which is new for her. She has never done this for any food or treat (and she likes food!) in her nine years. And now she continues to lead us to the “treat box” (a sealed container in the dining room), and will stare at you incessently or howl if you ignore her.

So it’s a win :)

They also make them in other flavors, such as fish, liver, and cheese. Dog likes all of em, Cat only likes the chicken ones!
